RG BK1M  
 
This is the first 1:8 motorcycle from the highly successfull RG Evolution Italy. As the name suggests the bikes design is almost identical in every way to its big brother, multiple title winning BKR 1:5 bike.
 
The BK1M comprises of high quality carbon chassis plates, combination aluminium / carbon swingarm and the signature RG Evolution crashback aluminium head stock, all delivered in sleek anodised black. The bike is delivered pre-assembled by RG Evolution. All that is required is the installation of electronics, servo and battery.

For the motor any brushless 2030 size motor will fit the aluminium motor mount. We recommend the Hobbywing EZRUN brushless motor and ESC combo. You can find those here.
 
The final drive is by toothed belt, with the main gear being 48DP with 70 teeth. Oil filled alloy rear shock, anodised black and mounted horozontially, offering a variety of tuning adjustments both on the swingarm and chassis. The BKM1 uses an 18T front pulley and rear 32T sprocket.
 
The steering servo (maximum size 23.5 x 12.5mm) sits centrally between the chassisplates. The connection from servo horn to triple tree via a simple yet extremely effective friction damper with springs, connected diagonally from servo to triple tree giving excellent feel and response. Provision for front brake servo can be found at the front of the chassis and will be available as an upgrade shortly, however the extremely light and nibble BKM stops very well without it.  All 5mm diameter scratch bars can be used.
 
Bike comes equipped with a set of GRP M3 slicks and roll on carbon GRP spokes. A sleek lexan fairing lower faring and combination rider / upper fairing unpainted is included with the bike.
 
7.4V Lipo batteries are recommended. the bike allows a max length of 105mm pack. Many of the 1:18 RC-Car Lipos are also suitable. You will find a number of suitable options here .
